In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Nashville,'s Be Your Own Pet hit the scene in 2006 with a rambunctious and wholly authentic nod to their idols--namely Iggy Pop, T. Rex, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The four high school dropouts, led by charismatic frontwoman Jemina Pearl, signed to Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label, quickly becoming one of the most talked about new bands of that year.
