About Rodney Carrington
Texas native Rodney Carrington is a stand-up comedian, actor, and country music singer-songwriter. ∙ His Gold-certified breakthrough album, 2000’s Morning Wood, showcased both his comedic bits and humorous songs. ∙ Starting in 2004, he starred as the title character in Rodney, a sitcom loosely based on his life that featured fellow actor/musician Mac Davis as his father-in-law. ∙ King of the Mountains, from 2007, was his first of four consecutive LPs to break into the upper reaches of Billboard’s Comedy Albums chart. ∙ Carrington and Toby Keith cowrote and costarred in the 2008 comedy Beer for My Horses, which included appearances by Willie Nelson and Ted Nugent. ∙ “Camouflage and Christmas Lights,” a heartfelt single from 2009, earned him his first Top 40 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. ∙ In 2012, he collaborated with country-song parody legend Cledus T. Judd on “Feel Like a Pawn Star,” which spoofs Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw’s single “Feel Like a Rock Star.”
