Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Matt B is internationally known for his seductive, introspective blend of R&B, Afrobeats, and hip-hop. The Chicago-based performer initially found success in Asia, with 2014 full-length Love & War topping digital retailer charts in Japan, and the single "Color Blind" going viral in China. After several of his songs charted in other countries across the world, he reached several Billboard charts with his 2021 full-length Eden, which explored a trap-soul hybrid. He embraced Afrobeats with "Gimme Love," his 2022 collaboration with Eddy Kenzo, which garnered a Grammy nomination. He continued in a more Afropop-influenced direction with subsequent releases like 2023's Alkebulan and its Grammy-winning sequel, 2024's Alkebulan II.
