In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In the late 1970s I was babysitting a neighbour's kid and I discovered a collection of old 8-track tapes. One of them was "Smash Hits" by Jimi Hendrix and I put it on. I was totally blown away and decided then and there I wanted to play the guitar. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elvis Costello, The Very Best of Elvis Costello John Coltrane, The Very Best of John Coltrane The Rolling Stones, Let It Bleed Remastered 2019 Costello really got me into the idea of writing my own songs, being eclectic and making the lyrics count. Let It Bleed is my favourite Stones album and a beautiful fusion of Rock, Blues & Country. Coltrane's music takes me to a warm spiritual place. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shine Your Shoes” It's hard to choose just one but "Shine Your Shoes" has an attitude, drive and feel that captures everything I think Rock music should be. There's some Blues in there too so even better. I was angry at a guy I'd worked for and told him off in song.
