Cristaleros Del Sur

Formed by brothers José Jiménez (vocals/accordion), Richardson Jiménez (drums), and Jesús Jiménez (electric bass) at their native Las Joyas, Guerrero, Cristaleros del Sur were joined by singer/songwriter Manuel Velasco and bassist Armando Tolentino after their original members moved to Nueva Italia, Michoacán. The Mexican outfit settled in Fresno, CA, to start touring the U.S. before releasing Cerros Michoacanos, produced by Juan Ramírez and including the hit single "La Venganza de Maria," composed by Julián Garza. ~ Drago Bonacich
