Slavonski Becari

One of the most successful bands in Croatia, Slavonski Becari remains committed to preserving the traditional music of their homeland. Directed by Antun Nikolic-Tuca, who plays tamburitza, a traditional Croatian stringed instrument, the group features the sensuous vocals of Miroslav Skoro, a member since 1985. Their performance at the Canadian Croatian Folklore Festival in 1999 was filmed for a documentary video. ~ Craig Harris
