About Greg Sanders

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad had 'Sgt. Pepper's' on vinyl... I used to play that record and LOVE it when I was about 5.. I found it all exciting, wild, rich colourful, but 'Within You Without You'.. I found kind of weird and scary... I was only 5.. I love it now! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Miles Davis, Sketches of Spain Paul Simon, The Rhythm of the Saints Bonus Tracks Edition Radiohead, A Moon Shaped Pool These 3 albums have always affected me so viscerally every time I listen to them.. Paul's sublime melodicism, Gil's arrangements, the Concierto De Aranjuez and Miles' fire are an unholy trinity, Radiohead's best album (?!) Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Water from an Ancient Well” I've always loved this song, I think I first heard it while cycling to a teaching job, it came on shuffle and I had to stop cycling and listen to the tune all the way through - Abdullah Ibrahim's live trio version from the 90s I think. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Meeting Elton John and supporting him with Juanita Euka at his BST Hyde Park show in 2022 was pretty memorable.. also recording the first Teotima album 'Counting The Ways' all live straight to tape, when we were all so young! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The third Teotima LP must be made! And there are so many incredible artists I'd love to collaborate with - Laura Marling, Blake Mills, Lianne La Havas, Tom Skinner, any/all of Radiohead, Nigel Godrich, Nathy Peluso, Ximena Sariñana, Bill Frisell.....
