About Y-Dresta
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 10 I got my first walkman. I found a busted up unraveled tape in the back of my apartments walking around, wound it up, played it and it was Michael Jackson "Dirty Diana" LOL. Slapped it on repeat all day until I learned it word for word. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Art of War: World War 1 Nipsey Hussle, Mailbox Money Sade, The Best of Sade (Remaster) No matter how crazy life gets The Best of Sade calms me down and put me in a good zone. Mailbox Money hypes me up and makes me want to get to the Money, & The Art of War is an album I studied as a Kid and Helped me find my own style as an artist. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The 1 Not 2” As soon as I laid this track I knew it was going to be the intro of the project. It's me professionally checking a handful of individuals in the Industry and letting them know "I don't care who you THINK you are, you ain't me & could never be". What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Theres been a lot of bucket list Moments, collabs and accomplishments, but to name one I'd say having Scarface do the Outro on CLIQ CLIQ and putting the stamp on my project. It don't get no bigger then that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? 100%, Being from the West, I need a song with Snoop, and for the smooth side of me I need a song with Sade!
