To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie

Mixing an equally lovely and unsettling amount of dreamy pop, indie rock, and industrial noise, To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie create sparse aural landscapes dusted with everything from classical-cum-horror strings to ethereal vocal chants. Helmed by guitarist/vocalist Jehna Wilhelm and electronics/sound manipulator Mark McGee, the Minneapolis-via-Richmond residents began making music together around 2003, working with a revolving cast of supporting musicians. Their softly crafted releases on the Kranky label were regularly earning beaucoup accolades from the indie community by the decade's end.
