Alexandre Silverio

Bassoonist Alexandre Silvério is among the few players of his instrument worldwide to maintain both classical and jazz careers. As principal bassoonist of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP), he is prominent in performances of major repertory works. On the jazz side, he is the author of a book on blues scales and improvisation for bassoon. Silvério has made several recordings, appearing in 2024 on the album Francisco Mignone: Concertos and Concertinos.
