In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mother says when I was 6 years old, they gave me a toy sized guitar for Christmas, and that I proceeded to write my first song that just happened to be country. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nine Inch Nails, Pretty Hate Machine U2, The Joshua Tree Remastered Van Halen, 1984 Remastered These albums changed my life. They inspired me to do music. I could listen to them on repeat for hours. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lost Children (Karma's Universal Blame Remix)” I originally wrote the demo to this song around the time of the Columbine High School massacre. Performing live the extended version was always emotional to hear the crowd sing along to the chorus. So much energy. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing one of my songs, The Puppet, on live radio and in a movie for the first time.
