About Eddi Reader
Born Sadenia Edna Reader, Scottish singer Eddi Reader worked as a backing vocalist for a wide range of U.K. acts (including Gang of Four and the Waterboys) before briefly leading the folk-pop ensemble Fairground Attraction and starring in the BBC TV series YOUR CHEATIN’ HEART. In 1992, Reader embarked on a solo career with MIRMAMA, and garnered critical acclaim with a run of subsequent albums such as ANGELS & ELECTRICITY. Later outings include the well-received SINGS THE SONGS OF ROBERT BURNS, which finds Reader celebrating both the revered poet and her homeland.
