About Teacha Dee
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When i was about 3 or 4 years old, i remember singing for a small group of people in my village. They cheered me on and gave me my payment in roasted peanuts. They gave me the name DeeJay Man which later changed to Demus in school and in my family. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Buju Banton, 'Til Shiloh (Expanded) Sizzla, Da Real Thing Teacha Dee, Rastafari Way Sizzla's "Da Real Thing" album is full of hits, "Thank You Mama" is one of my favourites. "It's not an easy road" and "Wanna be loved" on Buju Banton's album "Til Shiloh" are deeply helpful songs. "Rastafari Way" is a must, i love this body of work. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rastafari Way” This song came from the painful experiences i went through, becoming a Rastafarian. It then made history in James Bond's "No time to Die", turning my pain into one of my greatest triumph in music. It's the best healing "therapy" i could ever wish for What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2019, i did tour of Mexico for one month. I did a one hour performance with my full Jamaican band in the Puerto Vallarta and the people were so loud and wonderful. i visited several radio stations and television stations and saw so much of Mexico. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Apart from winning a Grammy or even a nomination one day, i would love to visit Africa to perform on a big festival with my live band. To see all these beautiful people connecting to my songs would be a dream come through. i have a lot of fans there.
