Davell Crawford

New Orleans singer and pianist Davell Crawford synthesizes the Crescent City's rich jazz, gospel, and R&B traditions into his own vibrant sound. He debuted with 1995's Let Them Talk and has moved between soulful organ jazz (1998's B-3 and Me), and urbane jazz balladry (2013's My Gift to You). He has also released a string of solo piano albums, playing spirituals, standards, and pop favorites as well as paying homage to his influences as on 2024's Alone Together: The Music of Roberta Flack.
