Bell Book & Candle

The German alternative rock band Bell Book & Candle was formed in 1995 by vocalist Jana Gross, guitarist/drummer Andy Birr and bassist Hendrik Roder. Signing to the local Turbo Beat label, the trio issued their debut, Read My Sign, in 1998, scoring a massive hit at home with the single "Rescue Me." The record was reissued for American consumption on Sire/Blackbird in early 1999. ~ Jason Ankeny
