Grails

Grails create sprawling instrumental rock epics which embrace numerous genres and incorporate unique instrumentation. Starting their career with the moody, melancholy post-rock album The Burden of Hope (2003), their sound expanded with their frequent lineup shifts. The group took influence from international psychedelic and progressive rock acts on albums like Burning Off Impurities (2007) and Doomsdayer's Holiday (2008), then explored a more cinematic, occult-inspired direction with Deep Politics (2011). Subsequent albums Chalice Hymnal (2017) and Miracle Music (2023) relied less on guitars and more on strings and electronic textures.
