About Paolo Di Sabatino

Between classical tradition and the freedom of jazz, Italian pianist, composer, arranger, and producer Paolo Di Sabatino has built a career marked by the fusion of these universes. Born in 1970 in Teramo, he studied piano from childhood and graduated from the Bari Conservatory with highest honors. In 1994, he completed his jazz studies and released his first album Harém as the Paolo Di Sabatino Quartet. He went to Chicago in 1999 and issued Introducing Paolo Di Sabatino. The following year, he created Threeo with John Patitucci and Horacio “El Negro” Hernández. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with other major players on the jazz scene, as well as renowned Italian artists. He has released albums such as Voices (2011), Distant Look (2013), and Sinfonico (2018). He is also professor and coordinator of the jazz department at the Alfredo Casella Conservatory in L’Aquila.
