Hayley Sales

With a catalog that includes jazz-inflected adult alternative music and sun-warmed acoustic fare, singer/songwriter and actor Hayley Sales has settled comfortably into an affectionate vintage vocal pop style that captures the softer side of major influence Judy Garland. Sales' major-label debut, Sunseed, appeared in 2007, and the jazzy acoustic pop of "What You Want" landed in Canada's Top 50 while reaching number 11 in Japan. "Just Pretend," from 2010's When the Bird Became a Book, garnered millions of plays online, and she earned acting roles on TV series like Supergirl and The Good Doctor and in films including the 2018 blockbuster Deadpool 2. Sales then reappeared on the music radar with a more sentimental, orchestral sound on singles including the original Christmas song "It Can't Be Christmas" and 2021's "Never Before," a song she co-wrote with Sharon Stone. Her EP Christmastime appeared in 2024 amid continued movie roles.
