Daniele Battaglia

Son of Pooh guitarist and singer Dodi Battaglia, Daniele Battaglia was born July 21, 1981, in Bologna, Italy. From an early age he felt that music was his path, too; in high school he studied audio engineering and shortly after graduation found work as a DJ at a small local station. By 2005, however, he had made his way to Gruppo Radio Italia, one of the top stations in the country, and one of the few that played music solely by Italian artists. Working as both a DJ and VJ, Battaglia became even more heavily involved in the scene and, inspired by what he heard around him, decided to begin singing himself. With production help from his father, Battaglia released the single "Vorrei Dirti Che è Facile" at the beginning of 2007 on the label Solomusicaitaliana, followed by "Fresco" soon after. ~ Marisa Brown
