About Mo Brandis
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember performing to Reggae artist Lucky Dube in our living room in Eswatini. I used a tennis racket as my guitar, and a toy ice-cream cone as my mic. Not much has changed since then, lol ;) What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers Donny Hathaway, A Donny Hathaway Collection Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life I don't think these artists need much introduction, but Songs In The Key Of Life is definitely one of my favourite albums of all time, Donny is my favourite Soul Singer and Bob Marley is playing in our home almost every day. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rise Up (feat. London Community Gospel Choir)” I wrote this song literally minutes after receiving the call that a big session with London Community Gospel Choir was confirmed. I was so so excited knowing I'd get to write and arrange with this musical colour, the song just poured out of me! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Singing at the Royal Albert Hall was a huge dream come true, but also the living room gig and launch party for my duo KAMOBii, I realised how much I value a genuine personal connection with the audience, and of course the hugs afterwards. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've done most of what I set out to do as "Mo Brandis" lol. Worldwide concerts, platinum releases & all that. Realising all of that is not "IT" is a powerful lesson! With KAMOBii I hope to tour & inspire others to find self-love & happiness within.
