Big Kuntry King’s arrogant growl delivered at a molasses pace has been an Atlanta staple since the mid-1990s. A third generation hustler (at the very least), the Charleston, South Carolina-born rapper got a major break when he caught the eye of another ascendant MC, T.I. BKK appeared on the trap muzik advocate’s 2001 single, “I’m Serious,” and would go on to make a cameo on every T.I. album to follow for almost a decade. Although he built up a fan base, it was not until 2008 that BKK released his first album, the lushly sinister MY TURN TO EAT.
