Jac van Steen

Conductor and contemporary music specialist Jac van Steen has been a fixture of the orchestral scene in his native Netherlands and has been active in Germany and Britain as well. He is also a noted educator. He has often specialized in contemporary music. Van Steen has made more than 30 recordings with various orchestras. In 1998, he made his recording debut on the NMC label with an album of works by David Bedford. In 2025, he led the Ulster Orchestra in an album of favorites by Manuel de Falla.
