About Walter Queiroz
Walter Queirós had success in the mid-'70s with "Filho da Bahia," one of the earliest hits by Fafá de Belém (who would also record "Estrelê" in 1978, while Beth Carvalho recorded "A Felicidade Diz Amém" in 1985). In 1975, Queirós recorded "Quero Ver Subir, Quero Ver Descer" on Gabriela, the soundtrack to the historic TV Globo soap opera based on Jorge Amado's novel. In the next year, he recorded his "Bole Bole," included on the soundtrack of another historic soap opera, Saramandaia. In 1985, Queirós had his "Maluco Pra Te Ver" (with Vevé Calasans) included on the soundtrack to the TV Glomo series Tenda dos Milagres, and his "Fumo e Mel" was recorded by Gerônimo. In the next year, Calasans recorded "Ki Luxo" (Queirós/Calasans). ~ Alvaro Neder
