Jimmy Greaves

A former England footballer, Jimmy Greaves was one of his nation's best athletes, and won a number of trophies, including the FA Cup and the European Winner's Cup. He was also a television presence, commenting on, not surprisingly, football. Greaves would go on to chronicle his life and opinions regarding the sport over the years in the books Greavsie and Heart of the Game. Although he retired from playing after appearing for such teams as Chelsea, AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, Barnet, and -- finally -- Woodford Town FC, he continued appearing before audiences, handling a number of speaking engagements regarding the sport and his unique take on it. ~ Chris True
