Ernst Kovacic

Violinist, conductor, and chamber musician Ernst Kovacic is noted for his specialties in 20th century and contemporary music but also plays and leads works from other periods. He is also a chamber music player and an important educator as a longtime member of the faculty at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Kovacic has a substantial recording catalog dating back to the late '80s. In 2025, he was heard on an earlier recording of Bartók's Violin Concerto No. 2 with the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.
