Andrea De Carlo

Conductor and viol player Andrea De Carlo is a leading specialist in the music of Baroque composer Alessandro Stradella, working with his own Ensemble Mare Nostrum. He has also performed on viol and recorded with other important historical performance groups in Italy and France. De Carlo has a substantial recording catalog, much of it appearing on the Arcana label and devoted to rarely performed operas and oratorios of Stradella. In 2024, he released the album Alessandro Stradella: Un angelo del Paradiso - The Orrigoni Songbook.
