Jupiter One

Named after the spaceship in the '60s television show Lost in Space, Brooklyn-based indie band Jupiter One make angular post-punk- and psych-inflected rock. Formed in 2003, the band featured singer/guitarist K Ishibashi, keyboardist Zac Colwell, keyboardist/violinist Mocha, bassist Ben Wright, and drummer Dave Heilman. Jupiter One released a self-titled debut album on Cordless in 2007. With Pat Dougherty replacing Wright on bass, the group's second full-length album, Sunshower, followed in 2009. ~ Matt Collar
