Alexis Taylor

Best known as Hot Chip's clear-voiced frontman, Alexis Taylor pursues a solo career as an introspective singer/songwriter, finding different angles on his music with each album. On his 2008 debut album Rubbed Out and 2014's Await Barbarians, he traded his band's percolating electropop for more intimate, often acoustic fare. Later, he added more electronics -- and guest musicians -- to albums such as 2018's Beautiful Thing and 2026's Paris in the Spring while keeping the thoughtful, confessional viewpoint of his earlier work.
