Los del Mar

One of the two main groups responsible for the "Macarena" dance craze during 1996, Los del Mar includes producer Joe La Greca and vocalist Pedro Castano. The group released their "Macarena" EP in late 1995, but the lack of a club version -- which the Bayside Boys provided for Los del Rio -- lessened the impact of the release. Los del Mar's debut album, Viva Evita, was released in late 1996. ~ John Bush
