In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad would play his records at home, singing and whistling along. Those moments filled the house with a quiet kind of joy that stayed with me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? JAŸ-Z, Reasonable Doubt Nas, Illmatic The Notorious B.I.G., Ready to Die (The Remaster) The writing across all three of these albums is simply exceptional. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Orbit” It’s cinematic, weaving together my fascination with astronomy and women—both of which remain, to me, beautiful and enduring mysteries. I tried my best to express this in the writing. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It’s always been a dream of mine to release something my friends and family could truly listen to and enjoy. With my first project, Up Late, I feel like I’ve finally done that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I haven’t even scratched the surface—I haven’t even bought the bucket yet. Truthfully, there’s no list. It’s always been one day at a time.
