In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In 2015 at LEAD in Liberia, I had music classes with Mr. William H. Smith. I learned K’naan’s “In the Beginning” and performed the rap as lead while my classmates sang the chorus. That day I stopped just hearing music—I felt it as an artist.
