In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We were asked to sing Jingle Bells to our great-grandmother on her deathbed—it was the first time Lilah met her. Moments later, our great aunt made the whole family sing The Sweater Song by Weezer. Weird, dark, and strangely beautiful—like our band. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Big Thief, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You No Doubt, Tragic Kingdom The Moth & The Flame, Young & Unafraid We grew up on Tragic Kingdom—our SoCal parents loved ska, and Gwen Stefani made us want to perform. Dragon New Warm Mountain shaped our love of folk, and Young & Unafraid is a family favorite—underrated, emotional, and timeless. We like that it’s influenced by classical music, and we love time signatures that are based in three—because triples is best. Three people wrote it, three beats per measure. We love that.
