Chuyin

Bringing the masked artist concept so dear to the likes of Daft Punk or Slipknot to the Mexican regional scene, Fuerza Regida's associate Chuyin hides behind a crochet puppet for his cover images and videos, and a giant mask for his live performances. The mysterious singer first materialized on Fuerza Regida's 2023 single "Inmortal" and quickly became a rising star of the corridos tumbados genre. A further half-a-dozen similar collaborations, each generating tens of millions of streams, appeared over the next 15 months. Unsurprisingly, Chuyin's gimmicky appeal has spawned plenty of theories about his real identity on social media, fueling the fire of his sudden popularity.
