About Elodie Markwell

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was very little, living in France, I grew up watching Disney films and Disney Sing-Along-Songs on VHS, both in English and French. Songs from The Lion King, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid are the earliest I can remember. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Andrew Lloyd Webber, Charles Hart, Emmy Rossum, Gerard Butler, The Phantom of the Opera (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Elton John, Hans Zimmer, Tim Rice, The Lion King (Original 1997 Broadway Cast Recording) Lindsey Stirling, Artemis The Lion King made me fall in love with African choir music. The Phantom of the Opera was the musical that inspired me to take up singing lessons and join the school choir. Lindsey Stirling is my idol; she inspires me to not give up on my dreams. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I wish to make more a cappella music with the goal to help people relax. There are so many songs from Disney, musical theatre and traditional folk music I would love to cover before I try my hand at writing my own songs.
