About Uncle Murda
Brooklyn rapper Uncle Murda has recorded under two NYC legends—JAY-Z and 50 Cent—over the course of a career that’s spanned more than 15 years. • Murda dropped his debut mixtape, Murder Capital, in 2005. • In 2007, after catching the ear of JAY-Z, Murda landed a deal with Def Jam. That same year, he appeared alongside Hov on the Fabolous anthem “Brooklyn.” • Murda parted company with Def Jam after JAY-Z stepped down as the label’s president at the end of 2007. • The rapper’s 2011 street hit “Warning” spawned a pair of remixes, including one featuring 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, and Young Jeezy. • 50 Cent took note of Murda’s skills and signed him to G-Unit Records in 2016. • Murda assembled Casanova, 50 Cent, and the polarizing 6ix9ine for the gritty 2018 posse cut “Get the Strap.”
