In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 13, I was listening to 'Sister Ray' by The Velvet Underground alone in my room. Halfway through, my mom comes in saying "I love that you love music, but you need to turn this off." I never learned if it was the sound or the lyrics that got to her. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A. G. Cook, Britpop Caroline Polachek, Pang SOPHIE, OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES These albums are the pinnacle of sound design and songwriting in my book. Few others even come close. Tell us why you chose this song. “Only Beauty” There's a subtle emotional arc here that I'm incredibly proud of- from the pleasure of being seen & fulfilled to the painful realization that I was being used. Regardless of it's importance to my understanding of myself, the connection was fruitless.
