Juanjo Bona

Spanish singer and songwriter Juanjo Bona first attracted attention as a talent show contestant. Determined to make it in show business, he went to casting calls for a variety of TV talent shows, landing spots on Masterchef Junior, Idol Kids, and Jotatalent -- and won the latter’s first season in 2022. Bona entered the major leagues in 2023 after reaching the finals of Operación Triunfo, Spain’s most popular singing contest, which secured him a deal with Universal Music. Upon launching his solo career, Bona wisely chose to develop a signature sound, a hybrid of pop and Aragon’s folk music with lyrics imbued with nostalgia, in order to separate himself from the pack. His captivating debut album Recardelino appeared in 2025.
