About Javi de la Torre

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My memory was listening to music after my brother's high school, bands like The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Santana. I got hooked and it was my favorite time of the day. In my house we used to listen to a lot of music What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Zappa, Hot Rats Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Zuma Taste, On the Boards Hot rats I love how eclectic it is. Zuma by Neil young sounds consistent with the Crazy Horse and Neil Young is the godfather of grunge. Rory gallaher was amazing and raw sounding, direct and energetic. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Semilla” Semilla is my first guitar song that I released and I was inspired by the sense of a seed that germinates and starts everything from that moment. Besides the inspiration I had in my daughter, as an important part of engine in my life and inspiration. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The day I started working as a teacher at the modern music school where I was once a student. Start working with the neoclassical pianist Nel Aique, considered one of the best 500 pianists in the world. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have everything left to do. I have been working for almost 20 years in teaching and as a session musician and every day I think that I still have everything to learn.
