Amanda Acevedo

A singer, filmmaker, and visual artist from Mexico, Amanda Acevedo made her debut in music in a big way, collaborating with Mick Harvey (well known for his work with Nick Cave and PJ Harvey) on the 2023 album Phantasmagoria in Blue. On the record, Acevedo's smooth, sensual, moody vocals blended well with Harvey's strong, straightforward delivery and the downcast, powerfully atmospheric musical backdrops. It was a striking first offering from an artist who had previously released none of her music to the public.
