About Jolt
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Over the years the Melbourne live music circuit has changed sadly. But we are proud to say we had a chance to play regularly in its heyday (circa 1997 - 2005) with some great bands. Some have found success, but many more did it just for fun. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jeff Beck, Blow By Blow (Remastered) Living Colour, Time's Up Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magik These albums were on high rotation when we started writing music. I'd say Time's Up was clearly influential for early Jolt. Blood Sugar was everywhere and with good reason. And everyone had Blow by Blow in their CD collection. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Melbourne” We came up with Melbourne - like all our songs - in rehearsal back round 2000. The name of the song has nothing to do with the lyrics, and over the years it has slowly morphed into a bigger sound than we ever originally imagined. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The chance to play some iconic venues throughout the Melbourne circuit. In particular the Tote and the Espy. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It is so easy to get your music released these days. So it's time to show the world how Jolt do it. So I guess you can say we are living out our bucket list. Who knows where it goes from here!
