In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When playing hide and seek with my cousins when I was about 7 years old, one of my cousins tapped a wooden stool to the rhythm of Brazilian samba-reggae. I observed his hands and played immediately after him. Since that day I'm a percussionist. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? João Donato, João Donato Trio, Sambolero Marcos Valle, The Best of Marcos Valle (Carioca Soul) These three albums epitomize the relaxed, sophisticated and easy-going ethos that I think is typical of what Brazilian music has as its best.
