About ‡Starving poet§

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I'm a self-taught experimental poet and sound artist. I am a queer nonbinary trans woman. I am neurodivergent. I have progressed through many genres and styles to arrive at creating techno, electronica, musique concrète, and sound art. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Annea Lockwood, Glass World Holly Herndon, Platform claire rousay, A Little Death These are several of my favorite albums. These are also some of my favorite genres represented in these 3 albums: musique concrète, experimental, avant-garde music, and conceptual music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nonbinary Waves” This encapsulates the waves of numinous ecstasies and terrors in transcendental states far out beyond the gender binary systems and into altered states of consciousness. A loving embrace of divine trans femininity and nonbinary androgyneity as One. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Learning about more experimental styles of music, such as musique concrète and sound art. They're highly abstract, often slower songs that can be more introspective and meditative than dance oriented music, although I still love techno as well. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to continue to help increase awareness and appreciation for experimental, electronic, and trans/nonbinary music both locally in Minneapolis, the United States, and internationally.
