In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up on West African classics like Wes – “Alane”, Ismaël Lô’s “Dibi Dibi Rek”, and Salif Keita. As I got older I fell into the cinematic worlds of Hans Zimmer, Brian Tyler and later discovered Sona Jobarteh, blending roots with epic emotion. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brian Tyler, Thor: The Dark World (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Hans Zimmer, Interstellar (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Expanded Edition] Yanni, Yanni Live At the Acropolis Interstellar (Zimmer) for its emotional, cosmic atmosphere; Thor: The Dark World (Brian Tyler) for raw heroic energy and battle rhythms; and Yanni Live at the Acropolis for timeless melodies that remind of simpler times. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career is realizing I can sit down at any time, compose, and turn my emotions into music. Being able to share what I’m feeling with the world through sound feels like a gift every single day. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? “Tot facienda, parum temporis!”, there’s always more to create and never enough time. My bucket list is never empty and every new song just opens the door to the next bigger idea.
