In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad took me to a planetarium when I was about 8 years old. I was lying down, looking up at the virtual galaxies swirling above me, as Moby began playing in the background. Surely one of my first moments of sonic transcendence. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kraftwerk, Tour de France (2009 Remastered Version) Sade, The Best of Sade (Remaster) Tour de France brought me to the intersection of breath and rhythm. Selected Ambient Works teleported me into the infinite swaddling mist. Sade reunited me with the power of the feminine. It’s a song about taking accountability for yourself - not caving to the needs of the machine - doing what truly nourishes you and your community, because our time here on earth is brief and fleeting. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing to a packed room before I had even released my first album. Looking out, seeing people singing along to my songs, witnessing the full materialization of something that started in such a solitary state now become a vehicle for connection. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Ultimate authenticity. I will always be seeking a deeper level of honesty in my art.
