In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory is singing in my grandmother’s living room with my musical family. We’d perform and critique the performances. Though I first sang publicly in church, my true start was in that living room, where my love for music was born. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Andraé Crouch, The Light Years: Andraé Crouch Frank Sinatra, The Essential Frank Sinatra Nat "King" Cole, Nat King Cole Andraé Crouch’s The Journey bridges my worlds: gospel and musical theatre. Sinatra at the Sands with Count Basie blends Sinatra, jazz, and big band. Nat King Cole Sings/George Shearing Plays is a timeless classic and favourite of mine. Tell us why you chose this song. “Whatever Will I Do” “Whatever Will I Do” was the first release on my own label that had full, live music and that I fully funded myself. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing Lion in a run of The Wiz. It’s one of the times I had the most fun on stage.
