Urq

Half of the New Orleans garage duo Spllit, Urq makes trippy, lo-fi solo music that navigates psychedelia, punk, prog-pop, and indie rock. After releasing his first solo album, The Castle Has a Back Door, in 2019, he made his Exploding in Sound label debut with his fourth LP, the time-traveling concept album This Dismal Village. It was his first project to be recorded entirely on a four-track cassette Portastudio.
