Sakkaris

California-based lo-fi/shoegaze band Sakkaris started out as a bedroom D.I.Y. project before evolving into playing raucous live shows and a more polished sound. Formed by twin brothers Alex and Kevin Liu, they created their debut mini-album, 2021's Admire, before enlisting guitarist Ryan Murphy to perform it live. Murphy cemented himself as a full-time member, contributing to their debut album, 2022's Conditions, bringing in a more overt shoegaze influence in the process. With a newfound fire lit under them, the following year saw an EP, Quiet Light, and a second full-length, Ordinary Misery. Over the next two years, they continued to release singles, including 2024's "Cigarette" and 2025's "Lose You."
