In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I joined band in 5th grade. I remember having to pick an instrument and I choose trumpet simply because my buddies did too. I was awful but did win 2nd chair one time. "Ode To Joy" haha What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aaron Ross, Shapeshifter My cousin, Philip, is a big part of my musical journey. He showed me some great albums/artist and this one still hits home. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bangalore” "Bangalore" was the first song I ever released as a solo artist. I've produced music for two decades so it was a big deal to release something on my own. It's a part of my debut album, India. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I moved to LA pursuing a producer's dream. A year later, signed to UMG, I thought I "made it." But chasing the weekly hit killed my creative soul. I left the label machine and GURRU was born. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It's only just begun but I'm not worried about a bucket list, rather, creating music that inspires me and makes people feel something. Bucket list - make music for the rest of my life.
