About Joey Aronskind

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a kid I used to ride around New Jersey in the back seat of my father's car listening to Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, and the Beatles. I used to sing their songs in my room and eventually thought, 'I could probably write songs too' What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Views Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Mac Miller, The Divine Feminine Lauryn Hill is the singing/rapping goddess of NJ. Mac Miller's evolution from 'K.I.D.S.' to 'The Divine Feminine' is awe-inspiring. I love his raspy jazzy vocals and unique songwriting and production here. Drake is the hitmaker of our generation. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Just a Dream” This song is actually deeply existential. It's loosely based around Buddhist philosophy. In essence, the reality we see before us every day is as real as a dream. The second verse in this song is the best verse I've ever written.
