In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I discovered that I could rap by mistake. At thirteen in school, the class rappers were freestyling. One of the rappers randomly dissed me in front of my crush. Not wanting to be left embarrassed, I figured, let me respond, I won the battle. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Brandy R. Kelly, TP-2.com Despite being a rapper, I mostly listen to RnB music and these two albums helped me in shaping the way I write music with emotion, being vulnerable in the music but without sounding weak. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rainbows” I wrote this during one of my toughest times in life, things weren't just going my way but just like a rainbow symbolizes new beginnings, I am always hopeful that things will eventually work out. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2018, coming from a place of broken dreams, arriving in Paris, and actually performing for an international audience gave me a sense of relief, a sense that this was possible, a sense that I could inspire the people from where I came from. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So much left, my career is still below five percent. Still a long way to go but I am hopeful of succeeding.
